If you are going to require financial assistance to further your education, you need to get the details on this one. The award can be used at any 2 or 4-year institution in the United States. You need to be a high school senior and a resident of Hawaii to be eligible, and must also have an excellent record of academic achievement, demonstrate financial need, and have demonstrated your depth of character in dealing with others. Application requirements include letters of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA and SAR. An essay is required. In it, look into the future at the person you would like to be when you are in your 50’s. Imagine the life you’ve lived, and list accomplishments you’ve made. Why do you think they are significant? There is a personal statement required describing you community service accomplishments.
