Ashton University England

Ashton University originally was a School of Metallurgy in 1875. It attained the status of a university in 1966. The university has a very high graduate employment record. The Ashton University has been ranked 13th out of all 110 UK Universities in the Times Good University Guide 2007.


  • The Ashton University has a self contained campus located in Birmingham City Centre, near the city's shopping streets and Railway Station. The university has eight different departments.

  • The Ashton University offers a wide range of single, joint and combined honors Degree Programs, in subjects covered by the four Academic Schools - Aston Business School, School of Engineering and Applied Science, School of Life & Health Sciences, School of Languages & Social Sciences. Apart from this, the university offers various Postgraduate and Research courses.

  • The Ashton University Library has books to cover all the taught subjects, and also electronic resources and journals. Apart from this, the library offers computing, photocopying and printing services.

  • Campus accommodation is offered by the Ashton University. A total of 2100 places are available on campus. The University has a Guarantee Scheme for First Year students.

  • The Aston University provides some subject specific awards of 750 GBP per academic year to certain eligible Degree Programs. However, the awards are only for UK and EU students.
