Salford University - England

History says that the University dates back to 1896 when it was known as Salford Technical institute. The year 1958 witnessed a split in the body. The two separate parts, The Royal challenge of advanced Technology and the Peel Park Technical College again merged together in 1996 to give birth to the Salford University. It is situated at a distance of three kilometer from the centre of Manchester city. Today with a student's strength of about 18,000 and 2,500 staffs, the university carries out research programmes in a dynamic and challenging manner. It also has useful ties with industries and public sector.

It has five enriched Libraries that expose the students to extensive knowledge by giving them access to database, e-books, journals and books. Salford also has Museum and Art Gallery.

Good and reasonable accommodation facilities are provided to the students in and around the University campus. The students can chose flats and houses where they cook their own food. They are also provided with individual study bedroom. Bus facility to the university is also available. Accommodation is also provided for disabled students and students with children.
