Derby University England

The Derby University was just a Higher Education College before it was upgraded as a university in the year 1992. It is famous for its innovative ways of study and provides a very flexible learning method. The University is mainly divided into two separate campuses. One is located in Buxton (on the edge of Peak District National Park) and the other one in Derby (in central Britain). The courses are divided among these two campuses.

Courses

Undergraduate Study

  • The university provides a huge range of different Degree Courses Starting from Media writing, Zoology, Earth Science to Law. Other Vocational courses are available on subjects like Conservation, Countryside Management, ICT, Hospitality, Beauty and Health.
  • Postgraduate Study
    This section provides a Master degree, PhD or a part time course. The university offers flexible learning methods. It covers all different subjects including Arts, Environmental Health and Tourism.
  • Part time Courses or Short courses
  • The University also provides a special School leavers Course
Library
The library offers a huge range of books, Journals, Electronic Journals and all. It also has the facility of online booking.

Accommodation
There are eight secured Hall Communities for the First year students. They accommodate more than 2,600 students both from UK as well as International students. The University also provides private accommodations. There is a separate department for this known as the Private Housing section.

The Alumni Association of the University is very active and all the ex-students automatically become a member of this association.
