Birmingham College of Food,England

Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies was originally founded in 1957 as the Birmingham College of Food and Domestic Arts. Later, it affiliated itself under the University of Birmingham, and became a part of the higher education sector in 2002. The college has a population of 6500 students, 10% of them being international students.

  • The institution is located in Central Birmingham. It offers both vocational and academic education. The areas of specialization are - hospitality, culinary arts, hairdressing, beauty, tourism, sports, leisure, health and social care.

    All courses are in the subjects covered by the four Academic Schools. The Academic Schools consist of the subjects of specialization of the college.
  • The Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies offers different halls of residence within the campus, with a capacity of accommodating 872 students. The halls are primarily meant for first year students. The institution also offers private accommodation within the city.
  • § A limited number of scholarships for new international students are offered by the Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies each year. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of the applicant's merit and are available for one year of academic program only. Two important scholarships awarded are - the 'International Academic Excellence Scholarships' and the 'European Academic Excellence Scholarships'.
