Oxford University review - England

The University of Oxford is one of the oldest universities in the world established in the 11th century. There are 39 colleges under the Oxford University. It is a member of the Russell group which represents the research intensive universities. The total student population of Oxford is over 18,000. This university attracts students form all over the world for its excellent reputation.

The University has four academic divisions:

  • Humanities Division
  • Mathematical, Physical and Life-sciences Division
  • Medical Sciences Division
  • Social Sciences Division
These divisions are further fragmented into a number of units within them.

COURSES OFFERED:
Apart form undergraduate and graduate courses, Part time/ continuing Education and Online Learning is also a part of the offered university courses. Research Services, Isis Innovation and Business Liaison are the Research Supports available in Oxford.

FACILITIES:
Oxford University has a number of Libraries. Not only does it have research libraries but also departmental libraries. Some of its major Libraries are: Bodleian Library, Radcliffe Science Library, Sackler Library, Social Science Library etc. Electronic resources are also provided to the students by the university. Oxford has world famous museums, picture gallery and a Botanical Garden. The Land Agents' and Accommodation Office caters to the student's accommodation needs. Oxford has its own housing facility and sometimes private housings are also provided to the students.
Oxford University has its own press, park, security service, etc.
