University of London is the creator of Institute of Commonwealth Studies. It came into being with an objective to develop the academics of the commonwealth countries. It is also a part of the School of Advanced Study.
COURSES OFFERED:
The Institute of Commonwealth Studies offer M.A in Human Rights and M Sc in Globalization and Development. It promotes inter disciplinary and inter-regional studies in the fields of history, politics, economics etc. Caribbean Societies in Regional Context, Commonwealth History, Australian Studies, Canadian Studies, South Asian Studies, and Human Rights are the regular programs of this institute.
FACILITIES:
The library of this institute consists of more than 160000 items and 200 archival collections. Rare materials on Africa, Australia and the Caribbean Islands are found here.
