Purpose of award: To assist students who attend UNCF member colleges and universities and have overcome extreme circumstances and hardships.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be African American students, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have unmet financial need that is verified by the college or university financial aid office. Students are encouraged to complete the UNCF General Scholarship application to be matched with scholarships for which they meet the criteria. Academic excellence and leadership on campus and in the community are also required.
