Purpose of award: To support Spanish speaking students who plan to become broadcast journalists.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be high school seniors, undergraduates or first-year graduate students who plan to pursue careers in journalism in Spanish-language television or radio. The award includes an opportunity to intern with the news division of Univision or an affiliate. Applicants must write an essay in Spanish outlining their career goals and provide Spanish-language samples of their work

Amount: $5,000.
Number of awards: 2. Scholarship may be renewable.
Deadline: Last Friday in January.
