Purpose of award: To award scholarships to secondary school students who have made a difference in their own lives, the lives of others or their community or school through journalism.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must have a teacher who is a member of JEA. Submitted works must have been published within the past two years.
Target applicant: High school students
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $1,000.
Number of awards: 1.
Deadline: March 1.
