Purpose of award: To encourage students to pursue careers in epilepsy in either research or practice settings.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be enrolled in medical school, a doctoral program or other graduate program; have an epilepsy-related study; have a qualified mentor who can supervise the project and have access to a lab or clinic to conduct the project. The project must be in the U.S. and should not be for dissertation research. The award is based on the quality of the project, relevance of the project to epilepsy, applicant's interest in epilepsy, applicant's qualifications and the quality of the lab or clinic. Applicants should submit three recommendation letters, statement of intent, biographical sketch and research plan.
